About Oven and Paw
Oven and Paw is a small, stubborn idea: homemade dog treats should have ingredient lists you can read at a glance, and every ingredient should come with a straight answer about whether it belongs in a dog bowl at all.
Every recipe here runs on two rules. First, the ingredient list stays short and ordinary, the kind of things already in a home kitchen. Second, every single ingredient carries a verdict in our safety database before the recipe is published, checked against sources like the AKC, the ASPCA, and PetMD, with the date of the last check printed on the page.
No recipe on this site will ever ask you to feed your dog something from the never feed list. When an ingredient sits in the middle ground, the recipe says so plainly, with the portion that keeps it safe.
Bake the batch. Check the verdict. Watch the tail.
